This legendary shoe is an updated version of the shoe that Bill Bowerman destroyed his wife’s waffle iron to develop nearly 40 years ago and the shoe that helped launch the Nike empire. All of the key elements of the shoe that help keep it an industry leader are present in this edition. Featherweight, fantastic use of the latest upper materials, aggressive outsole and off the charts graphics make this a very sweet shoe. 

The Nike Zoom Waffle XC 9 Cross Country Shoe is a spiked design with a need for speed. Sleek and ultra-lightweight, this shoe delivers a snug, breathable fit with incredible ground-gripping traction.

The Nike Zoom Waffle XC 9 keeps the foot locked in placed without weighing it down. It starts with lightweight mesh that helps increase airflow and delivers a flexible, comfortable fit. Strategically placed in key areas, innovative 3D overlays are fused onto the upper. These work with the internal arch bandage to keep the foot locked down.

Absorbing impact without bulking up, the Nike Zoom Waffle XC 9 has low-profile Flashlon foam at the midsole. The molded arch helps enhance the fit, while the articulated heel reduces impact and helps for a smooth heel to toe transition.

No matter what the ground is like, the spikes on this shoe deliver excellent traction. Six removable spikes are housed in an ultra-durable, lightweight Pebax plate. The rubber outsole has additional lugs for extra traction just where you need it.
