Please remember that as a seller, my sales costs also include packaging tape, printer ink, printer paper, shipping supplies, sales tracking and auction listing tools, not to mention the 12-14% that eBay commissions and payment processing take off the top for fees and commissions. Plus, FREE SHIPPING! All of these costs are included in what you are paying.

In the past our images were made using a scanner or camera at very high resolution, exposing many minor flaws that are NOT visible to the human eye. There is a tendency for scanner images to wash out certain colors such as skintones and not pick up silver or gold tones well. I am currently using an iPhone 14 Pro Max with the app "Photoroom Pro" to add inovative backrounds, providing a stellar image of the actual pin. Please know that as these images are also at very high resolution, flaws, marks, and other imperfections not or barely visible to the human eye may be exposed. Having sold pins for 25 years now, it is nigh impossible to find any pin that I would call "perfect". I also remove the outer plastic wrapper in order to give the images a cleaner line and I return them to the wrapper (assuming they had a wrapper) after taking the image.

For those of you that peruse my auctions, a comment on pricing. I look at current and prior completed sales when assessing what price point to list my pins at. To a minimal extent I take my cost into account (after all, the collectibles market is an investment, so values go up and down and I will list a pin near or even under my cost if the market demands this). The biggest factor is rarity, if a pin only comes to market once to several times a year and there are often none of that pin available for sale, I consider those rarities, and will price them accordingly, generally at high values as they are near impossible to replace. Sometimes I wait years to finally attain a certain pin or to replace one I sold. These are the types of pins I consider my specialty as I am ALWAYS on the lookout for something rare, hard to attain, and/or extremely limited. Since I offer free shipping and I try to be at or near the lowest price plus shipping, on eBay, at the time I list, my prices are sometimes negotiable, but not by much.

Description: Adventures By Disney is the travel arm of the Disney company that organizes and hosts escorted journeys around the world that feature the same level of guest service the Walt Disney Company is famous for at its theme parks.

All Adventures by Disney excursions feature pins. One is given to each guest each day of the trip and they are generally themed to whatever you might happen to experience on that given day.

Japan has proven to be one of the toughest sets to obtain and thus its pins are relatively scarce, and they are the only journey that features a Duffy pin.

This pin was given to participants on Day 10, the final dayof the tour when unfortunately everyone must say goodbye and head on home or to their next adventure.

Who is Duffy?

Duffy the Disney Bear is Mickey Mouses very own teddy bear. Born from an original Walt Disney Imagineering story, Duffy continues to be a popular Disney character with fans around the world. He has even been dubbed the bear of happiness and luck, and he is surely bringing lots of happiness and luck to his fans.

Duffy the Disney Bear came to be in 2002 for the opening of "Once Upon a Toy" at Walt Disney World Resort. At the time, he was known only as "The Disney Bear." Two years later, Duffy was brought to Aunt Peg's Village Store at Tokyo DisneySea, where Imagineers added a story for him to make sense with the location. Duffy was sold exclusively in Aunt Peg's Village Store from 2005-2008, often selling out. Since then, Imagineers have expanded Duffys story to include a group of friends around the world. Today, Duffy can be seen at Tokyo Disney Resort, Shanghai Disney Resort, Hong Kong Disneyland, and Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa, in Hawai'i. Guests often travel with their Duffy-inspired merchandise, posting photos of their adventures together.

Imagineers first created Duffy's story within the context of American Waterfront at Tokyo DisneySea. Almost everything done at Imagineering starts with story. This particular story goesMickey Mouse the sailor, based in Cape Cod, was leaving on a long sea voyage, Minnie Mouse made Duffy to keep Mickey company during his travels. Minnie presented her hand-sewn bear to Mickey in a duffel bag, which is how Mickey came up with the name Duffy. But stories can evolve, and as Duffy's story has evolved, he and Mickey have visited many exciting places together, meeting new friends along the way. With a willingness to do anything to bring a smile to his friends, and his quintessential innocence, Duffy takes all of us back to our childhood when we all had an "inner Duffy."

With the rise of Duffy's popularity, Imagineers noticed many guests purchased multiple plush of Duffy, giving the bears unique names and costumes. That inspired Imagineers to create a companion to Duffyhis best friend, ShellieMay. Based on the pair's increasing popularity, Imagineers decided to develop an entire collection of characters, each with a distinct personality and talent: artistic cat friend, Gelatoni, dancing rabbit friend, StellaLou, inventive dog friend, CookieAnn, and musical turtle friend, 'Olu Mel.

Duffy is no ordinary bear, as he was created by Imagineers. Often sporting his sailor suit that reminds him of his travels with Mickey, Duffy has been featured around the world in Disney parades, seasonal programs, specialty food and beverages and merchandise items including themed costumes. There are endless possibilities tied to the loveable and huggable bear, who resembles his owner with marks resembling Mickey Mouse on his face, back and feet. He's much more than just a soft, fluffy souvenirhe's a messenger of love and friendship with an ever-evolving story!
