Up for sale is this super sweet "CORNBREAD" hand stamped tea towel. This one measures about 28 1/2" x 22 1/2." I remember my Grandma Audrey would always have what she called tea towels. Some were plain, some were old feed or flour sacks, some were hand embroidered by her. I have decided to do my own "modern day primitive" spin on the tea towel. Each of these is made from repurposed, make do, vintage cotton and is hand stamped with a grubby primitive design or saying. Each is one of a kind! The measurements of each may vary slightly. This one is made from some vintage yellow gingham I found. I hand stamped it with CORNBREAD on it. The edges of the tea towel are mostly frayed. I have stitched around the raw edges to prevent it from overly fraying over time. With each wash it will fray a little bit and give it an authentically worn looking tattered edge until it reaches the stitching. Each of these is made from a repurposed, make do, fabric just like in the olden days where you used what you had instead of throwing it away. Every last scrap! A small step back in time to recreate an functional heirloom quality piece. Each of these are a medium to light weight cotton. I have picked designs and patterns to mimic the time of days gone by, as well as the fabrics that I believe will be the most functional for being lightweight, fast drying, and a low to no lint residue. Easily tucked into an apron, used for lining the biscuit, muffin, or cornbread basket, or for simply using as a decor piece. Need to polish that glass in a jiffy? You need not fear! The tea towel is here! Each of these will vary ever so slightly. Some may have a tiny slightly frayed hole, some may have a tiny spot. They were made this way on purpose to mimic the "make do" nothing wasted mindset of the good ole days! Rest assured I will not send anything ugly. Lol! :-) The last few photos show a picture of some of my other offerings while they last. I will add more colors, sayings, and words shortly. If you have a custom request for a design or message please feel free to message me.
