2. EMPRESS OF IRELAND - lost May 30th, 1914 - collision with STORSTAD in St. Lawrence River, Quebec. (1,477 lost).

3. LUSITANIA - lost May 7th, 1915 - torpedoed by U-20 in Atlantic Ocean. (1,198 lost).

4. LETITIA - lost August 1st, 1917 - hospital ship stranded near Portuguese Cove, Halifax, Nova Scotia. (1 lost).

5. IMO - lost December 6th, 1917 - collision with MOUNT BLANC - causing the famous `Halifax Explosion', Nova Scotia. (1,700+ lost). 

6. ASCANIA - lost June 13th, 1918 - Cunard liner stranded near Petites, south western Newfoundland. (0 lost).

7. USS TRUXTUN - lost February 18th, 1942 - stranded with USS POLLUX (Navy) near St. Lawrence, Newfoundland. (203 lost between two ships).

8. USS POLLUX - lost February 18th, 1942 - stranded with USS TRUXTUN (Navy) near St. Lawrence, Newfoundland. (203 lost between two ships).

9. CARIBOU - lost October 14th, 1942 - Newfoundland Railway ferry torpedoed by U-63 in Cabot Strait off south western Newfoundland. (136 lost).
