Vintage 1960s Rare Coppola and Toppo faux pearl, seed pearl, and smokey quartz glass graduated bead necklace. There are six strands of faux pearl beads on one side of the necklace and six strands of smokey quartz colored faceted glass beads on the other side. The pearl strands and glass bead strands meet in the middle where the pearl strands wrap over the glass bead strands. Creating a peter pan collar silhouette. The beads are larger towards the middle of the necklace and gradually get smaller towards the clasps. The triangular clasps are gold tone and are decorated with a cluster of beads on the front. The back of one of the clasps is signed “Made in Italy by Coppola e Toppo. The necklace is about 12 1/2 inches long and 2 1/2 inches wide. The paint on the pearl beads is wearing off in some areas. The clasp is intact and functioning.

The color of the brown beads are truly a smokey quartz coloring and the photos 2-6 show the true color of the beads.

A Brief Bio on the Designers:
Bruno and Lyda Coppola created magnificent and highly distinctive jewelry from their workshops in Milan, from the late 1940s, continuing successfully until the mid-Seventies. Highly successful in their own right, both in Europe and in particular the USA, with their own lines, they designed many pieces for the haute couture designers such as Elsa Schiaparelli, Valentino, Pucci, Christian Dior, Yves Saint Laurent, Ken Scott, and Roberta di Camerino.
