Description:

A delightfully whimsical footed cup and saucer set by Paragon of England with double warrant mark dating from 1939-1949 in the Lilac pattern. Both pieces have double warrant mark in purple along with the pattern name with the saucer bearing additional mark '86572' over another '2'.

Both pieces are exquisitely decorated with light yellow and a bunch of pink/purple lilacs tied with a pink ribbon. This version of the set has a white center ring in the saucer with gray trim and no lines within the cup. Both pieces have gently scalloped rims with gilt trim. The saucer is 5 1/2" across while the cup is 2 1/8" tall x 4 7/8" across with handle. No chips, cracks, crazing, or losses to note. Cleaning will be needed.
