Remarks: Original leaflet from the German National People's Party (DNVP), newly founded in 1918, in preparation for the elections to the German National Assembly on January 19th. January 1919. This is "Advertising Sheet No. 1" of the DNVP publication distribution, therefore a very early if not the first leaflet publication by the German National People's Party. The text says, among other things, about self-image and in dealing with the end of the World War: "The democratic party, which saw the light of day in the 'Berliner Tageblatt', will never be able to deny its fatherhood. We can only expect salvation from German men after non-German elements have plunged us into the abyss. Whoever wants true national freedom, whoever wants to preserve the Christian religion and protect private property, whoever wants to protect our exemplary German family life, whoever wants to sow good German seeds into the hearts of our children so that they do not let the German will and German essence die out, let us conclude Join the German National People's Party and cast your vote for them on election day." At that time, the DNVP stated that the party's headquarters were: Headquarters, Berlin SW. 11, Bernburger Straße 24. It is also interesting that women were specifically approached to vote here - because it was the first election in which women in Germany were given the right to vote.
