1&Blade:The blade is forged of 1060 carbon steel that has been folded 12 times resulting in 4000+ layers to increase the flexibility and strength, the visible ripple of grain on the blade is the result of the extensive forging and folding process that is done by hand for each individual sword.With a successful quench the blade is then any warps or bends are straightened and the final curvature (sori) adjusted as necessary. The blade is then tempered to it's finest hardness
2&Polish:To fully polish the blade that need to work up through at least 6-8 stones by Japanese method which made the surface of the blade like a mirror and sharpness .First comes the basic shaping, the refining of the basic shape and lastly the 'make-up' of the blade.Each next stones constantly stacking unique aesthetic details and will remove the scratches of the previous stone.This traditional polishing process produces a blade with a keen edge, clean lines, and flat surface.The tip of the blade is a Chu Kissaki (medium length) and the blade comes full tang and sharp that can be used to cut the straw mat and bamboo but should with good technique and right gesture with a single strike yet sharp enough to slice paper.
3&Tsuba:The tsuba(guard) is crafted in antique alloy .The habaki (blade collar) is a one-piece brass construction.Two Seppas (spacer) secure the Tsuba.
4&Tsuka:For the tsuka(handle) the wood core is carved and fit to the tang of the blade which is covered in ray skin(same') and tightly wrapped in the traditional cross over style ito (braid) helps protect tsuka from the oils and sweat from your hands during training.
5&The Fuchi (sleeve) and Kashira (buttcap) are of alloy detailing and Menuki on each side as an ornament. The oxidization process will create an antique look.Two Mekugi (peg) secure the Tang of the sword.
6&Saya:Each saya is individually carved to match its blade, ensuring a proper fit. Once shaped buffalo horn koiguchi, kurikata and kojiri are precisely fit to the saya.The saya is Rosewood with a leather that tied around the Kurikata (knob)
