These custom controllers were made without IR and NFC functions to keep price low.  This will not affect most games.  As as example, real-time sandwich eating functionality in 1-2 Switch may not work.  Amiibo functionality is also not present, and as such, the unit may not support flashing equipment in Zelda games.  Certain digital motor functions may also be compromised.
