A Beautiful Framed Victorian Portrait Of Lady Cooke 1864. Henry Dixon & Sons. I believe this to be a slightly older Photogravure print of a picture from 1864 but I don't consider myself an expert so please check the photos and draw your own conclusions.

Henry Dixon & Son Photogravure makers

Photographer. As with many other photographers from the period, Henry Dixon (1820-1893) originally trained as a printer. Though, perhaps, best known today for his photography for the Society for Photographing Relics of Old London, Dixon also successfully developed a business of fine art photography.

Dixon's son was Thomas James Dixon 1857-1943 . According to photo London Lucy and Ellen Dixon were also part of the partnership known as Dixon & Son. Although Dixon died in 1893, the company was probably active until the beginning of the 1940s [it was founded in 1887]. Pritchard lists 112 Albany Street as the address of Henry Dixon and Son until 1908.
