Formaly known as Siberian ginseng, eleuthero (Eleutherococcus senticosus) is a slow-growing, deciduous shrub native to Asia and found growing today throughout China, Japan, Korea and Russia.

Traditionally used to prevent colds and flu and to increase energy, longevity, and vitality

In traditional herbal practices, the plant’s root is dried and ground into a powder to make tea or supplements. Eleuthero is considered an adaptogen.
