I purchased this off ebay about 10 to 15 years ago. Seller told me it was for a 1992 Kawasaki ZX-7, it did not fit my bike, but was very close. I later came to find out it came off a 1991, 1992 or 1993 FZR 1000 RU. Which year, I couldn't say. But was told this solo seat would fit all 3 year models? It is in fantastic condition. And has been sitting wrapped in bubble wrap in a trunk since the late 2000's. Personally, I think this might be one of the best surviving solo seats for the 1000's. All the clips appear original. The back tab is just a piece of hard foam, I imagine to keep it in alignment or to not scratch whatever it slots onto. I only ever owned Kawasakis, so I really don't know much about Yamahas.
