2× Mature garden-ready bare root plants of Siberian Iris BLUE MOON.

This is one of the most attractive and easy-going irises one can grow.

Fairly undemanding of tipe or quality of the soil it will never fail to show up in spring.

I like to pair mine with yellow day lilies, which I PROMISE to give you as a BONUS PLANT!

Hemerocallis lilioasphodelus or Yellow/Lemon Day-Lily, worth £6.99.

For free with every order so you olso can plant them together and enjoy this heavenly, classic colour combination.

"Blue Moon 's" beautiful velvety, violet-blue flowers with veined yellow and maroon throats appear in May and June among bright green, slender foliage. They last quiet a while in the garden, giving you weeks of splendid display.

This lovely iris makes an excellent cut flower, pairing ever so well with peonies and other spring and early summer beauties.

I use it extensively in my flower arrangements and florists ,I supply, love it.

Like all Siberian flag irises, this is a clump forming plant that needs space to spread out and prefers a moist, neutral to slightly acid soil in sun or partial shade. But, generally,  it is not very fussy.

It looks best planted in bold drifts beside water and allowed to naturalise.

It is particularly useful on difficult banks where it will help to prevent erosion and over time will form large clumps.

It can olso be planted in pot as a marginal plant for a pond among hostas ( please, have a look at my collection of mature flowering hostas).

Plant as soon as possible on arrival. Make sure that the crown of tubers is left above the soil level with the roots firmly in the ground.

Water-in after planting and keep hydrated when in growth.

Cut the stems down to 5 cm above soil level in autumn.

Devide and transplant big, congested clumps every 5 years.

Hardiness : Fully hardy.

Mature Height: 70cm to a1m.

Bloom Time: Spring,Early summer ( May- June)
