This neat, color, post card from Hawaii, was sent by a sailor serving aboard the U.S.S. West Virginia, on October 21, 1908, to a Miss Clara Lehman, of San Francisco! The U.S.S. West Virginia was a Pennsylvania-class, armored cruiser.
Sailor Hugh E. Jones seemed to really be enjoying Hawaii at the time of writing! He might have been trying to make his lady friend in San Fran jealous!

To continue, while there is a stain of some type on its left side, the green, 1-Cent, U.S. "Franklin," definitive is in excellent condition! The flag cancel from the Honolulu Post Office is superb!

Lastly, as for the condition of the post card, it's very good! Aside from some stains on the front, it's pretty clean! There is some minor wear and tear around parts of the edges. Minor blemishes aside, this item is a neat piece of U.S. Naval postal history connected to a sailor serving on the U.S.S. West Virginia, and a lady friend in San Fran!
