    It allows you to have continuous control over the amount of light coming through your lens in an approximate range of 2 (ND 0.6) to 8 (ND 2.4) stops

    Choose the right size

    You will find the filter size for any lens.by looking at the front edge of the lens where it says who made it, it's focal length, and a two digit number followed by a circle with a line through it("ø"), this is the filter size.

    "x" phenomenon
    The "X" crossing on the image is a normal physical phenomenon that happens with all brands of variable ND lens filters. When the filter is adjusted beyond its capabilities according to the laws of optical physics, a noticeable "X" cross or trailing smear may appear.
    The KF variable ND filter can only be rotated between the Min and Max marks on the rim. Min means ND 2 (1 fstops) and Max means ND 400 (9 fstops). Rotate beyond these parameters and you'll start seeing vignetting, and in extreme cases, you'll see a black X appear.
    Suggest:
    To ensure uninterrupted imaging, we recommend that you reduce the density of the filter until the "X" crossing or trailing smear disappears. For wide angle lenses, you shouldn't operate the filter past 5 or 6 fstops (or before you start seeing vignetting), with the caveat that it will vary slightly depending on the focal length of the lens used.
