The mastic tree or rope - scientifically Pistacia Lentiscus var. Chia (family Anacardaceae), is an evergreen shrub of 2-3 meters tall, which grows slowly and grows to full growth after 40-50 years, reaching up to 5 meters tall in mature plants.
