Antique / Vintage Rag Rug stair runner 5.4 yards long by 33.4 inches wide

Found in the old grandmas wooden box in an attic, the rug has not been used and kept clean and fresh which is quite great and rare to find. It is from Bulgaria, located just north of Turkey and sharing the same traditions and designs for centuries. It is very traditional village home rug for Balkan region but it was also traditional style rug for the Scandinavian and other European countries, only colors to the north are lighter.
Made from cotton rags, dyed with natural organic dyes. Clean with care to avoid fading and leakage. Colors are rich and pretty, the color combination is interesting, looking like an abstract work of
painting to me and could be a great accent in a modern interior.
