About Toshio Saeki:
Born in 1945 in Miyazaki prefecture, Japan, Toshio Saeki emerged as a prominent figure in the world of illustration. His journey began with western painting at the Art Department of Hiyoshigaoka High School in Kyoto, eventually leading to a debut as an illustrator in the popular weekly magazine, Heibon Punch, in 1970. Saeki's artistic prowess became evident through vivid cover illustrations for Ninja novels, captivating audiences with a unique blend of eroticism and cruelty. A modern-day ukiyo-e master, Saeki's influence extended globally, with exhibitions held in the U.S. and France. Although he departed on November 21, 2019, at the age of 74, his legacy lives on through the timeless allure of his art.
