Amazigh Berber Babouche for women made
handmade in a small family workshop in Marrakesh and Trafraoute, Morocco.
These Berber fuzzy slippers from Tafraoute
are undoubtedly one of the most original with its small colorful pompoms and
delicate embroidery.
This rare model was only created in
Tafraoute, a small mountainous town in the Anti-Atlas, located 180km south of
Agadir.
The high tongue at the heel is typical of
Babouche Moroccan Slippers from this hilly region. Originally, it provides
better foot support and protects the Achilles tendon when hiking in the
mountains.
these pompom slippers are entirely made of
leather. The sockliner and heel are lined in leather for greater comfort.
