This neat, uncommon, sepia post card of H.M.S. "Endymion," was sent on October 19, 1908, from Chatham, England, to St. Leonard's, Festing Grove, Southsea, Hants, England, by a British sailor serving aboard the H.M.S. "Endymion!" The addressee was either a female relative or a lady friend, a Miss Annie Self! The "Endymion," was a first-class, protected cruiser of the EDGAR class. The message from the sailor is interesting, as he writes about the coaling of the ship!

To continue, outside of some slight stains around some of its perfs, the yellow-green, 1/2-Pence, British definitive is in great condition! The cancel from the Chatham P.O. is excellent!!

Lastly, as for the condition of the post card, itself, it is quite good. Except for some stains around its edges, the back is still pretty clean. The image on the front is quite clean and clear, still. There is very little wear and tear around the edges. Slight imperfections aside, this is a very attractive, unique piece of British Naval postal history!
