Super Nintendo SNES (PAL version)  1 CHIP-01 console.

The console casing is in good condition, with a little suntanning to the front left.

You will require a PAL SNES scart cable that is wired for sync on luma to use the dejittered sync signal.

The SNES console has been modified with a Supercic & uIGR, dual frequency oscillator, dejitter, and an improved audio amplifier.

All of the original electrolytic capacitors have been replaced with new Panasonic and Nichicon versions.

C11 Has been replaced with a 470nF capacitor to help reduce ghosting.

C61 has been replaced with a 22uF capacitor to reduce the vertical band that some SNES consoles suffer from.

750 ohm SMD resistors have been added to the RGB lines to reduce brightness to more acceptable levels.

The original audio amplifier at U6 has been replaced with a CS4338KSZ chip which gives louder and cleaner audio output.

The photo of the audio amplifier is from another console (I forgot to take one), but the install is exactly the same.

The mod PCB has the dejitter function which fixes the jittery sync signal provided by the SNES and allows greater compatibility with upscaler devices and modern displays.

The dual frequency oscillator (DFO) is programmed with correct PAL and NTSC frequencies meaning that the console will run with the correct timings.

To operate the supercic functions you must hold down and then release the reset button when the desired power light colour is visible.

The power light colour corresponds with the following region settings
Red=NTSC 60hz
Green=PAL 50hz
Orange=Auto mode (detects the region of the cartridge and starts in that mode)

PAL games can be started in 50hz mode and then switched to 60hz mode for full screen, full speed gameplay.

The uIGR (in game reset) allows all of the above to be operated using the controller (so you don't have to get up to press the reset button). Simply hold down the L,R and Select buttons and then press
Start-Normal reset
Y-50hz
A-60hz
B-Auto mode
X-Long reset
