The Joystick extension fits the Winwing Joystick ranges and is ideal when using the a centre mount.

The main tube is 30mm in diameter and comes in a choice of two different styles: Kinked (K) and Gooseneck (G), has offsets of 25mm, 50mm or 75mm depending on height choice that bring the grip closer to the pilot and in lengths between 100mm and 250mm that add height, ideal when centre mounting.

NOTE: Please measure the height/offset you need carefully before ordering, we cannot accept a return if you find you have not ordered the correct one.

Unlike most others available, this extension is fully hardwired allowing easy no-fuss swap out between joystick handles and extension/no extension modes.

The plug and the socket on the extension can be rotated to suit the orientation of the sockets and plugs on the Winwing original bases and grips. This is necessary as the rotation of the socket in some Winwing Bases differ from others, even the same models. DO NOT OVER ROTATE the plug and socket in the extension when aligning, just rotate enough to line them up properly. Spinning them round for laughs will break the wiring eventually causing failure.

There is a grub Screw on the top knurled screw and 2 stainless steel catch plates on the bottom screw section for the grub screw on the base.

New for F-16 Enthusiasts!
We have added two new short extensions with a rake of 12° to tilt the grip forwards, the first adds only 40mm of height to achieve this and the second adds 80mm height but adds a 25mm offset to centralise the stick's weight over the base. (see pics)

Naming Convention Examples

Model Height Type Offset
WW150K50 150mm Kinked 50mm
WW200G75 200mm Gooseneck 75mm

Note: Adding an extension with an offset to a Winwing base will most likely require the use of heavier springs and for the larger extensions >175mm may require 2 springs on the forward backward axis to keep the stick centered.

Pushing your joystick beyond it's movement limits with force may result in breaking the extension itself, particularly with the longer extensions.

A. Extension Installation to Base

  1. If installed, loosen the grub screw so that it is clear of the internal threads on the Knurled Base Screw on the base.
  2. Carefully align the plug on the base of the extension with the socket in the Winwing base. When aligned it should go in easily and the mating surfaces should be flat.
  3. Turn the extension to the desired orientation and hold in place. DO NOT over rotate the extension.
  4. Tighten the knurled base screw by hand, whilst holding the extension pole still. Do not use tools on the knurled base screw but make sure it is tight. The grub screw (or grub screw hole should align with the metal catch plate at either the front or the back of the extension.
  5. Install and tighten the grub screw. Do not overtighten the grub screw, to the pinch is adequate.

B. Grip Installation to Extension

  1. If installed, loosen the grub screw so that it is clear of the internal threads on the Knurled Screw on the extension.
  2. Pull the ps2 cord from the grip a little and carefully align the plug with the socket of the extension.
  3. Push the plug in to the socket. The socket will rotate to match the orientation of the ps2 cord plug as you put them together and change the orientation of the grip to your desired angle. When aligned the mating surfaces should be flat.
  4. Turn the extension to the desired orientation and hold in place. DO NOT rotate the extension or the grip further, only turn the knurled screw.
  5. Tighten the knurled screw by hand, whilst holding the extension pole and grip still. Do not use tools on the knurled screw but make sure it is really tight. The grub screw (or grub screw hole should align with the flat surface at either the front or the back of the grip screw.
  6. Install and tighten the grub screw. Do not overtighten the grub screw or you may damage the threads, to the pinch is adequate.
We usually only print one of each model ahead of time to keep costs as low as possible, so if the model you require is showing as out of stock, we have probably just sold it, please drop us a message and we will endeavor to manufacture another as a priority.

If you need a different height or offset, please get in touch!

IMPORTANT NOTE: Our extensions are not compatible if the MFSSB Kit is installed.

Note: This item is 3D printed. There will be obvious print lines on this product due to the nature of 3D printing. The colour of the base screw, interface, plug and socket holder (not visible once installed) will vary depending on model chosen. We have colour coded them to make sure we send you the right one!
