Lovely antique Dutch silver box. Most of these have a tavern, courting, or home scene on them. All standard fare. This box lid is more interesting. It has what looks like an angry mob with rifles, torches, and other weapons. The box is approximately 2” long. It features a Dutch lion passant hallmark with a 2 which denotes .833 or higher purity silver. It has an HH makers mark which likely belongs to Herbert Hooykas. Date mark looks like 1914 but could be an earlier mark. Condition is excellent. Fresh out of an estate collection. Final photo shows some other small silver things from the same collection that I’ll be listing separately. Ships ASAP! Thanks
