With a lightweight frame and 8-speed drivetrain, the Helix A2 can comfortably get you around bike paths as well as help you climb uphill more easily. 100mm of front travel keeps you riding smoothly on rougher terrain. The Helix is great for riders looking for a hardtail rig for casual riding, but don't be mistaken - if you want to tear up the trails the Helix is more than able to keep up.
The 6051 alloy frame of the Helix A2 is tough, featuring oversized and tapered tubing for drastically increased frame stiffness. Cables are run along the top tube to keep them out of the muck for more precise and reliable shifting performance. The replaceable derailleur hanger is designed to yield before the frame does, significantly reducing the cost of repairs in the event of a crash.
