Antique Victorian Period Double Sided Encased Butterfly Moth Pendant

This listing is for an Antique Double Sided Encased Moth Pendant.  This Victorian Period Pendant features an encased Moth on one side with Butterfly or Moth Wings on the other.  The cover is possibly glass or plastic with an etched finish.

The pendant is not stamped and is not testing gold.  It appears to be gold filled / gold overlay with tarnish - the jump ring is not stamped, electronically testing 14K.  The disc measures 17.5mm or just shy of 3/4".  The drop measures 1" including bale/jump ring.  The pendant weighs 1.6 grams.

This Antique Treasure is over 100 years old and is very rare.  It's in good condition with patina.  I have left the pendant as discovered with no attempt to clean other than wipe with a dry polishing cloth.  I don't see any scratches on the cover.  The blue appears to be a reflection and seems to go "in and out" as you turn the pendant.  I was unable to learn any history or age on the pendant.  Sometimes, a butterfly/moth would be set on top of a Blue Morpho Butterfly wing which "may" be the blue we see .... that is just speculation.
