Since their release 50 years ago, these albums have turned countless listeners of all ages around the world into lifelong Beatles fans, and this collection, expanded for the 2023 edition release, includes 75 outstanding tracks from all of The Beatles' recordings, from the first single "Love Me Do" to the final " Now and Then," to the final song, "I'm Not Here," the collection features 75 outstanding songs from all of The Beatles' recordings. The 21 newly added songs (12 on the "Red Disc" and 9 on the "Blue Disc") showcase The Beatles' best songs more than ever.

In recent years, including "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" (2017), "The Beatles ("White Album")" (2018), "Abbey Road" (2019), "Let It Be" (2021), "Revolver" (2022) For the release of The Beatles Special Edition albums, several songs from "The Beatles 1967-1970" and several songs from "The Beatles 1962-1966" have been newly stereo mixed and Dolby Atmos-mixed, and also included in " The Beatles 1" (2015) were given new stereo mixes for "The Beatles 1" (2015). All other songs not included on these releases were newly mixed in stereo and/or Dolby Atmos by Giles Martin and Sam Okell at Abbey Road Studios with the help of Wingnut Films' audio demixing technology (Dolby Atmos is digital only). Both collections include a newly written essay by journalist and author John Harris.
