Product description

Antique French Painting on Glass Sun Moon Artemis Apollo Greek Gods Pair Rare

          Gorgeous and Big!

We are offering a pair of paintings on glass, each measuring about 19.5” tall and 12.75” wide in the frames. This pair have a lovely mirrored composition and theme, one being the moon, Artemis, and the other being the sun, Apollo. The second pane of glass on Artemis gives the piece an extraordinary depth. They’re meant to be hung in Windows, as their true beauty only shines through when the light does. Attributed to the late Victorian period.

This pair is the perfect addition to any collection.

Good condition with some expected age-related wear. There has been some paint loss on Apollo, and Artemis has some dirt along the top and bottom of the paint. Apollo once had a second pane of glass in the back, which was unfortunately lost at some point before we received the pair.

The frames can be hung either way.

Measures: Overall 19.5” high x 12.75” wide

Site 16.75” high x 9.75” wide
