Issey Miyake spring 1996 Iridescent Ensemble (1 of 1)

Size M

Presenting here one of the rarest pieces ever held in our extensive archive, a museum piece from Issey Miyake's spring 1996 collection. So rare that only one exists in the world. This piece even has indication stitches on the left-hand side of the back of the jacket to allow the seamstress to create a symmetric dart (french seam) which was unfinished before it could make it onto the runway in time. The zippers are in fact iridescent parallel to the iridescent silver fabric which is a neat detail. This ensemble should be in the hands of a die hard Issey collector, or a museum such as the archives of NGV, Powerhouse Museum, MoMA etc.
