Third Issue - December 5, 1864 - August 16, 1869 - Fifty Cent Fractional United States Note -- See Photos
This GENERAL SPINNER Fractional is over 153 years old and in good shape considering its age! The note features the head of General F.E. Spinner and states "Act Approved March 3rd 1863" and, "Receivable for all United States Stamps."
General F.E. Spinner was the Treasurer of the United States from 1861-1875.
This note is known as fractional currency which was issued from December 5, 1864 through August 16, 1869.
