Moroccan Sheepskin Slippers for women Berber Shoes Leather Moroccan Babouche
Moroccan sheepskin slippers for women made handmade in a small family workshop in Marrakesh and Trafraoute,
Morocco. These Berber shoes from Tafraoute are
undoubtedly one of the most original with its small colorful pompoms and
delicate embroidery. This rare model was only created in
Tafraoute, a small mountainous town in the Anti-Atlas, located 180km south of
Agadir.
The high tongue at the heel is typical of
slippers from this hilly region. Originally, it provides better foot support
and protects the Achilles tendon when hiking in the mountains. These Berber leather Moroccan babouche are entirely made of goat and sheep leather. The sockliner and heel are lined in leather for greater comfort.
