Design for a Fountain, c. 1680 - Unusual Christmas card ~ an etched design

for a fountain showing two angels riding a horse, maritime creatures, and the

French royal coat or arms, from the series 'Recueil de fontaines et de frises martitimes'. 

by Louis de Châtillon (1639-1734) (printmaker), after Charles le Brun (1619-90).

The original etching is now in the collection of the Ashmolean Museum, Oxford.

High quality card with a smooth glossy finish.

Card size is 21cm x 9cm approximately.  

The greeting inside reads ~ "Season's Greetings". 

Supplied with a white envelope and cellophane wrapped.

All cards are securely packed in a board-backed envelope for protection.
