A very heavy English Victorian solid sterling silver crested fork. It is hallmarked for London 1848 with the makers marks being that of Robert Wallis. It has a been superbly designed and has been engraved with a crest used by the Chichester family and a gothic C to the reverse. It is in very good condition being free from dings splits and repairs. It measures approx. 8 inches (20.5cm) long by over 1 inch (2.8cm) wide and weighs 98 grams. A rare example.
