Lovely vintage Kaftan dress. Cobalt blue with hand stitched white trim at neck and sleeve edges. This appears to be a totally hand made piece. The woman who owned it was a well cultured world traveler in her day. She lived in Cambridge, MA one of the hippie/BOHO fashion capitals of the world. She’s now in her 90’s. I’d guess she probably acquired it on her travels many decades ago. There was a hand stitched tag it appears that’s since gone mostly missing. It was hanging in a cedar closet in a dry cleaning bag when I found it. The dry cleaning tag notes it was cleaned in 2005. It likely hasn’t been touched since then. I don’t know what size it would have been but I’ve supplied dimensions in the photos. This is a nice hand made vintage piece. Looks like a small discolored spot top right front shoulder in photos. I’m guessing this is something in the surface of the fabric rather than a set in stain. I think she applied different treatments to her hanging garments to keep moths and whatnot off of them. I could be wrong but I would say there’s a good chance this comes out with a cleaning. I’ve done nothing at all to clean it since acquiring it. Ships ASAP! Thanks
