My parents owned a Collectibles and Toy store back in the 1990s.  They had a wonderful assortment of collectible stuffed animals, but too many to keep now that they have retired.  I will be listing quite a few items from their collection over the next few weeks so stay tuned if you are a collector of cute things!

This is a set of the VanderBear Family New England Country Christmas collection from 1995 -1996.  The bears are incredibly soft and have the trademark doleful eyes, perky ears and jointed arms and legs. 

 They all have their original hang tags and authentic Christmas outfits.

Some history of the collection - One of the world’s most beloved teddy bear families, created in 1983, the members of the VanderBear Family are papa Cornelius, mamma Alice, twin brother and sister, Fuzzy and Fluffy, little sister Muffy VanderBear (1984) and her best friend Hoppy. Produced by the North American Bear Company, they developed its famous bear family just as the 75th anniversary celebration of the American teddy bear reminded Americans of their favorite childhood toy.

Papa Cornelius firmly believes that "clothes make the bear," and Muffy and her family are always well-dressed for any occasion, for parties, travels, the seasons and the weather. They all love to dress up.
