Vintage MARTIN 1K KOA SOPRANO UKULELE w/HSC 1927-32 Nice!.

Ukulele players interested in adding a vintage Martin instrument to their collection will do no finer than this 1920's Style 1K -- a gorgeous sounding, rare, and extremely well-preserved instrument. The austere Style 1 appointment level is more commonly seen on Mahogany ukes from this period (and the fancier sets of Koa reserved for the glitzier, pearl-trimmed Style 5). We have never seen a Style 1K this clean! All the original components are intact and untouched. And while this uke has certainly been played, it bears no significant wear or cosmetic blemishing. All solid Koa body, with Brazilian Rosewood fingerboard, binding, and bridge. Priced with non-original fancy hardshell case. (7 ply Birch, fat leather handle, crushed green velvet interior)

There are a few hairline cracks on the top that are hard to see, but they shoot south from the soundhole on the treble side and near the center. The cracks have been expertly sealed and cleated

There are also a couple of old, with-grain, side hairline crack repairs.

The tuners are original and were introduced only in 1927, replacing the earlier violin style tuners.

The setup is excellent, the tone is Rich and sweet. Definitely one of the nicer ukuleles We Have Heard. You won't be disappointed
