Manufactured by Herend - Hungary starting in the mid eighteen hundreds, Queen Victoria features beautiful hand painted flowers on fine porcelain with gold trim. This rare set of four porcelain teaspoon holders are a perfect gift for any tea enthusiast. This china pattern, which would become "Queen Victoria" was first presented during the London World Exhibition in 1851. There, it caught the eye of the Queen, who ordered a large table service for Windsor Castle. The pattern was subsequently renamed Queen Victoria, and became one of Herend's most popular designs! These are in excellent condition.
