This is a beautiful sheet of 50 stamps, issued by the United States in 1953. It features the Opening of Japan, the 100th anniversary of Commodore Matthew C. Perry’s trade negotiations with Japan and depicts a portrait of Perry and Perry’s ships under Mount Fuji in Tokyo Bay. It is Scott catalog #1021, and is mint never hinged in pristine condition.
