Description:

Privately printed on card, possibly by the Queen Mother’s Stable staff covering race seasons from 1949 to 1958, unique volume, no records in libraries or auction records, a ‘one-off’.

Sangorski and Sutcliffe ring binder with details of the Queen Mother’s racehorses with extensive photography, details of the races, breeding, history, characteristics with a summary of races, wins, placements and stakes won.

Three photographs of the Queen Mother (one with Princess Margaret).

A truly unique item, one can only speculate as to its creation and provenance.

Details of 14 racehorses:

Monaveen, Manicou, Devon Loch, M’as-Tu-Tu, Gipsy Love, Flamingo Bay, King’s Point, Wild West, Double Star, King of the Isle, Classiebaun, Lusaka, Queen of the Isle and Opalescent.

Approximately 13 ¾ inches tall (cards 12 ½ inches tall).

• Joints – very good condition – gently rubbed and worn.
• Corners – very good condition – rubbed.
• Boards – good condition – some scratches and marks.
• Page edges – good condition – gently tanned.
