*NO FRILLS Packing (Keeping Prices LOW & Recycling For The Planet)

To keep prices as low as possible I don't use custom made/pre made boxes or packing material to send the fountain pens. It takes a lot more time for me to custom pack a fountain pen than it would for me to use something pre-made, but it means that the prices are lower for you and we're also recycling for the planet.
Your fountain pen will always arrive safe and sound in recycled cardboard, and if I do use bubble wrap/plastic it will be re-usable/re-used. The only single use plastic item (until I find a suitable alternative) is the mailing bag/satchel.

To insert a refill:
  • Unscrew the nib (twist to unscrew)
  • Insert a new cartridge by pressing it (narrow end in) to the nib section,
  • Press until you hear it click into place (you can stand the cap and cartridge up on a flat service & press until it clicks in)
  • Screw the pen back together
  • Give the pen a couple of shakes to let the ink go into the nib (it will take a little time for the ink to start flowing as you write)

To Use An Ink Converter: (You will need a bottle of Ink)

A converter is a device that plugs into a pen like a cartridge and allows the pen to draw in bottled ink through the nib.
Ink converters come in different shapes and sizes, but they all work the same way. Twisting the knob at the end of the converter moves a piston inside the converter up and down, creating a vacuum that draws ink up into the pen.

  • Remove the converter from the fountain pen
  • Place the clear end into the ink (make sure that the end is in the ink)
  • Twist the red end until the ink is taken up into the clear section
  • When it is full, remove from the ink bottle & wipe any residue
  • Insert the converter onto the fountain pen nib section (gentle press)
**For a new pen, you may need to give the pen a few shakes to get the ink flowing to the nib. You can also run the nib under a cold tap to get ink flowing & some will need a little more encouragement to get the ink flowing (writing until ink comes into the nib).

Every fountain pen is carefully checked before shipping
