عشبه القنطريون ترنشاه Centaurea أو المرار وتسمى
مرارة الحنش وكصة حية وشوك مبارك وعشبة الحمى .
جنس نباتي ينتمي إلى الفصيلة النجمية Asteraceae. يضم هذا الجنس ما بين 634 نوعًا مقبولا و686 نوعًا هي نباتات شوكية موطن معظمها حوض البحر الأبيض المتوسط وكثير منها في بلاد الشام.
الاستخدامات الطبية لعشبة االمرار:
من أهم الفوائد الطبية لعشبة القنطريون معالجة قلة الشهوة للطعام وبالإضافة إلى معالجة الاضطرابات في الوظائف الهضمية.وينشط وظائف البنكرياس والطحال والكبد والمرارة .
يستعمل العقار داخليا كنقيع مغلي ، أو كصبغ قبل الأكل لمعالجة قلة شهوة الطعام ومعالجة الاضطرابات في الوظائف الهضمية أو انزعاج المعدة واعتلال الكبد واحتباس الفراء وبعض الحميات وطرد الديدان.
كما تستخدم عشبه المرار لتساقط الشعر وعلاج القمل بالرأس وتستخدم لعلاج امراض العيون والنقرس والمفاصل والسعال والربو وتخرج البلغم .
ومن اهم مزايا عشبة المرار تعالج لدغات العقرب والحية وتعمل على حل مشاكل الجلد والتئام الجروح .
