Chinese meadow rue has clouds of misty lavender flowers, like dangling jewels nodding on branching wiry stems. each finely sculpted flower erupts with dainty purple petals and glistening thread-like yellow stamens that hang delicately from the nodding flower. they bloom far above lacey, fine textured, columbine-like foliage, thru summer into early fall.
Chinese meadow rue is very hardy down to zone 5. they like humus rich soil in part shade. they are low Maintenace and bug dear resistant.
the seeds need a cold period before they will sprout. you can plant them outdoors in fall or early winter or put them in your fridge for 1-2 months before planting.
