This is an attractive, condolence cover(no letter now) sent from Laibach, Wales, U.K., to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, U.S.A., on August 24, 1872! The addressees were the family and employees of Nathan Trotter, one of the owners of Nathan Trotter & Company. The company is actually still in existence, and seemingly thriving! It was started in 1789, and has been in the manufacturing of metal products for much of its history. At the time of the sending of this cover, the company had quite a lot of connections with businesses in the U.K.

To continue, as for the rose, 3-pence, GB Victoria(SG103, Plate 6), it's in superb condition! The bar numeral cancel from the Laibach P.O. is somewhat smudged, making the individual numbers in the cancel hard to discern. But, the Laibach P.O. CDS at the back is fantastic!!

Lastly, as for the envelope, itself, it's in quite good condition! The front, especially, is nearly flawless. The back does have some damage from what looks to have been hinges, glue, or tape that someone(likely a a previous collector) used to probably affix the cover to an album. The back flap is intact, though! Minor imperfections aside, this is a neat British, Victoria-era cover sent to the U.S. in 1872, and to a company that is still in existence today!!
