This is an antique CDV of James Monroe, the fifth president of the United States. There is general wear from age. The corners are cut at an angle. On the posterior and pencil it does say Monroe, 200-11, and some additional pencil writing in the upper right upper corner.

The company that made this seems to have been in business from 1862 to 1902 so presumably it was made during that period
