This is absolutely a safe and simple process. First and the foremost, shampoo hair to remove all the dirt and excess oil from the scalp (do not condition your hair).
For better conditioning, add an egg or 2-3 tbsp of olive oil or yogurt to the paste to treat dry or damaged hair.
For better color results, squeeze a lemon in the henna paste to lighten the blonde shade. (Only, if you are not allergic to lemon).
For chocolaty brown color, add 2-3 tbsp of coffee to the henna paste. On the other hand, for deep red shade, you can add beetroot juice in the henna paste.
It is advisable to do a strand test before applying henna to the entire scalp. Select one inch section and apply henna onto it, to know what color it may leave on your hair texture.
Our hair henna is absolutely free of ammonia, PPD, metallic salts or any other chemical composition. Still, it is prescribed to do a sensitivity test on your skin. It will help you to determine whether you are or not allergic to the content of the henna. For carrying out the test, clean a small area of your skin (behind the ear or inner surface of your forearm), apply small quantity of hair henna and leave it for 24 hours. If no irritation or inflammation is apparent, then you can proceed ahead with the henna application.
