Evening Primrose Oil is the oil extracted and cold pressed from the seeds of the yellow Evening Primrose wildflower, Oenothera biennis. It is a rich source of Linoleic Acid and Gamma-Linolenic Acid (GLA), both Omega 6 and 9 fatty acids, which can be considered as an anti inflammatory.

Starflower Oil, also known as Borage Oil, is pressed from the seeds of the Starflower plant. It is also a naturally rich source of GLA, a beneficial omega-6 fatty acid.

Evening Primrose Oil & Starflower Oil are common supplements taken by women of all ages, particularly for those experiencing the perimenopause and menopause, since it is believed to relief users from common side effects, such as hot flushes, night sweats and slowed metabolism.

Our advanced formula contains the addition of Vitamin B6 which helps regulate hormonal activity and metabolism, improve the immune system, and keep the nervous system functioning properly. These claims have been approved by the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA). Research has also shown that taking vitamin B6 can also help to relieve symptoms of PMS (premenstrual syndrome), including menstrual or period pain relief since it is shown to reduce estrogen and increase progesterone.

It is also believed Evening Primrose Oil products are beneficial for pregnancy since it is believed to shorten labour and decrease postdate pregnancies, but it has not been scientifically proven.

Directions

For adults, take one (2) softgels daily, preferably with a meal. Do not exceed the stated dose.
