The Essays of Ralph Waldo Emerson, 1st & 2nd Series--Limited Edition Club, 1934

I have acquired a few titles from The Limited Editions Club that show a bit of wear, but remain quite solid and attractive. This is "The Essays of Ralph Waldo Emerson, First and Second Series." Published by the Limited Editions Club, San Francisco, California, 1934. Copy #114 from a limited printing of only 1500 copies. This set is signed by the Designer/Printer of the book, John Henry Nash at the rear of the book. Book is clean and lightly-worn. Shows some age-darkening of spine. The original cardboard slipcase is present, but shows considerable wear, staining and fading as seen in my photos. I will call the book Very Good, while the slipcase is in Fair-Good condition, at best. Book measures 9 1/2 X 13 3/4. A SCARCE FEW copies of this book can be found on other internet booksites for upwards of $188!!!! I will offer this solid, lightly-worn book in a worn, faded slipcase for only $40.00 plus $8.00 S&H in the US. (Rm 1, R, Case 4)
