STAR TREK GIANT POSTER BOOK (#16)
VOYAGE SIXTEEN
The Star Trek Giant Poster Book was a poster magazine published for seventeen issues by Paradise Press from 1976-1978. Each issue - or "Voyage" as they were termed – was an 8-1/2" X 11" size, fold-out publication featuring 8 pages of photos and text on subjects related to Star Trek, as well as images from Star Trek: The Original Series with the reverse side featuring a “giant” fold out 34" X 22-1/2" poster. Although the poster was clearly the main attraction, the articles were also great. The color photo reproduction was brilliant, for the period, as the editors always seemed to pick the best photos for the articles as well as the poster. Finding them (at all) in collectible condition is difficult since most fans put up the posters which resulted in thumbtack holes, edge tears, old scotch tape, and general dog-earing of the corners.

Poster: Kirk On The Bridge.
Condition: color break stress crease along ridge of spine, apprx. 1/2" split at top of spine, wear/cross stress creasing along spine, residue from removed sticker across "STA" in title near top left corner, scuff/scratch on cover Kirk's face (as shown), wear/creasing at reading edge corners of front cover, shelf wear/creases over surface of front cover, shelf wear/ink grime transfer over surface of back cover, internally complete.
All magazines are packaged with Collectors in mind. They will be individually bagged, and sandwiched between two pieces of over-sized cardboard. This not only helps to prevent magazine edge damage during the shipping phase, but it also helps to prevent folding and rough handling of the magazine(s). This secured package is then put into a cushioned bubble mailer, helping to ensure you will receive your item in the same condition that it leaves my crypt in!
