JNR Class So-100 54-Tons Railroad Accident Recovery/Rescue Heavy Duty Crane Car Kit

The kit is made of laser cut paper.

Only one crane car is included in this kit.

Item photos show the item painted after assembly.

In order to assemble and complete this kit, the optional wheels, the optional couplers and the optional decals (sold separately) are required.

We will provide and ship the above optional items with the kit.

The optional items are included in the price, so there is no additional charge.



Fourteen class So-100 crane cars (So-100 to So-113) were built between 1951 to 1956 at JNR Hamamatsu Works.

This class So-100 was classified as a small crane car among heavy duty crane cars, with a maximum load of 15 tons.

However, the maximum load it could handle was too small, a drawback that was exposed, and due in part to the spread of crane-equipped cars, all class So-100s were retired by April 1987, when the Japanese National Railways was divided and privatized.

・So-107: Kameyama Station/亀山, 天王寺 (Tennoji Railway Management Bureau)

・So-108: Mito Station/水戸 (Mito Railway Management Bureau)

・So-109: Tottori Station/鳥取, 米子 (Yonago Railway Management Bureau)

・So-110: Hamada Station/浜田, 米子 (Yonago Railway Management Bureau)

・So-111: Fukuchiyama Station/福知山 (Fukuchiyama Railway Management Bureau)
