EXCELLENT- ANTIQUE CAST-IRON OWL ANDIRONS - HOWES BOSTON - Between the 1880s and 1920s, these andirons were manufactured and quite popular. Howes Boston manufactured these iron owl andirons and bares the HOWES BOSTON mark and also has the stamp number of 4000- 2 on the back part of each owl. The stamp on the iron leg portion is 1775-1 . The set is in excellent condition, has original paint on beak/feet and is definitely a vintage 20th century set. Please view pictures. Measurements are approximately 20.5 inches high by 18.5 inches deep by 10.5 inches wide with one bolt to disassemble for shipping.


They have aged well in their structure without pitting and could be easily cleaned with some stove polish and look mint again or repainted with high temperature paint, they are the perfect size for most fireplaces.
