Antique c1915 Pennsylvania Railroad Pennsylvania Line International silver soldered individual dining car soup tureen with lid and undertray. The tureen measures 9" long(tip of handle to tip of handle) x 5" wide x 4 1/2" height. It is in good condition with only two tiny dings on the lid. Modest surface wear to the silver on exterior with no real silver losses. The interior shows one small area of silver loss in the center of the base. Any other dark spots seen on the silver in the pics are merely reflections of the surrroundings. The tray and tureen both show Pennsylvania Railroad crest with PL in the middle for Pennsylvania Line from a period when the rails west of Pittsburgh were operated as a separate entity from the PRR. The tureen shows a date mark of 1912(12 in a square) while the undertray is dated 1915. Both show similar stock number 5115 along with International silver soldered. Nice collectible.
